Ireland’s Christmas tree growers have launched their ‘Love a Real Tree’ campaign, aiming to highlight the benefits of choosing a real Christmas tree for your home this holiday.
Love a Real Tree
They’ve put together a website packed with tips and advice for choosing and looking after your real tree this Christmas, as well as plenty of reasons why you should opt for a real tree this year.
Top of the list of the many benefits of real Irish Christmas trees are their friendliness to the environment. Real Christmas trees can be recycled to create compost for landscape and garden use. Christmas trees are continually being planted to replace trees harvested; and a hectare of Christmas trees produces between 70 and 105 tons of oxygen a year. Irish Christmas trees are also really fresh because they haven’t had to travel far – so non-drop trees like the Noble Fir and Lodgepole pine keep their needles for weeks in your home.
